Eleven Men, Noble and True

And just before we get to team of the week, I can't believe I forgot a little match that went on yesterday in the land of leeks, dragons and a disproportionate number of world class snooker players. Congratulations to Blackburn Rovers on winning the Worthington Cup. Now he's left the confines of the Old Trafford bench I'm beginning to like Any Cole, particularly his rant at Glenn Hoddle (who left him out of the World Cup Squad) and Teddy Sheringham (who in four years as teammates barely exchanged a word).

“It makes it all the sweeter to score because it was against Hoddle. The thing that annoyed me about him was the way he went about it and told the Press before he told me. That's his style.

“As for Sheringham, it was a definite dive and he should have been booked.”

Ohh handbags. Don't you just love rubbing it in?
