Transfers

Just a quick note to say that Sunderland have signed 19 year old Argentinian forward Nicolas Medina for a fee of around 3.5m from Argentinos Juniors. He has represented Argentina at U-17 and U19 level and is an ex (now reunited) teamate of the black cats' defender Julio Arca.

Fulham have also made their first (of many, I expect) siging of the summer, 8m giant Jan Koller. The Czech international had apparently signed for Dortmund earlier in the week but the deal fell through due to Dortmund reducing thier offer. Something to do with the Belgian press valuing him at less than the asking price - strange situation... don't ask me. There should be a few laughs next season anyway when the 6ft 8in freak struts his stuff in the Barclaycard Premiership.
