I'm thinking about setting up a different page for this. Now the summer's nearly here, this kind of thing will really get out of hand. It keeps me busy I suppose..... here's a few things I've heard on the grapevine......
Arsenal are interested in Bayern's young midfield dynamo Owen Hargreaves, after his superb display in the European Champions Cup semi-final last week and Arsenal's lack of cover in midfield it's not beyond the realms of possibility that he could be making his way over to London in the near future.
Celtic have contacted relegated Coventry about surely the most nomadic striker in English football - John Hartson is contemplating a 2m switch to Parkhead rather than spend a season (or more) in the first division. Coventry to Champions League, not a bad move.....
I wouldn't be surprised if Dennis Wise was at Watford in a couple of weeks and there has been talk of Jody Morris linking up with Vialli again. I for one would be very surprised if he swapped the Premiership for the First Division at his age but who knows? Maybe he's not in Ranieri's immediate plans and he would (probably) only be in a lower division for one season.
Fulham, for a change. Jan Koller no longer looking likely with a switch to Dortmund looking more probable. The signing of Russian keeper Nigmutielliniensn or whatever his name is has been cancelled as Lokomotiv Moscow have refused to release him (the Russian season is not finished for a while), Fulham have gone after Panathinaikos stopper Antonis Nikopolodis for about a million. Wimbledon midfielder Micheal Hughes has also been linked with a 2m move to Craven Cottage.
And finally.... Hibs midfielder Russell Latapy has been sacked. He missed training before the Hearts-Hibs derby and spent the day getting rat-arsed with Dwight Yorke, he was aso charged with drink driving by police on Friday evening. Classic. I wonder if Yorke will be punished.
