The Future's Bright..
The future's Arsenal. Congratulations to the Arsenal youth team on successfully defending the FA Youth Cup, the first side to do so since Crystal Palace in 1978. Last nights second leg wasn't quite as easy as the first leg 5-0 drubbing, Blackburn put up quite a fight in the end winning 3-1. The game itself was almost a carbon copy of any number of first team games this season, a whole host of chances and all the possession but the opposition were more clinical in 3 of their 4 shots on goal.
Enough whinging, 6-3 winners on aggregate - well done.
Why?
If I was Sven I would ban him from the training ground

Bits and Bobs
Why is there such a scramble for a man with no managerial experience. By all accounts Steve McClaren is a superb coach and for that reason I'd like to see him take up a position on the permanent England coaching staff, but the way Middlesborough and West Ham are chasing him is almost naive. Look what happened with Brian Kidd at Blackburn. Good coach does not equal good manager.
Now thats off my chest.... Charlton have completed the signing of 28 year old South African captain Shaun Bartlett from FC Zurich for about 2m.
Teddy Sheringham looks almost certain to be re-joining Tottenham on a two year deal worth approx 30,000 a week, the arrival of 19m Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Alan Sugars departure will be major factors in his decision as well as the opportunity to move closer to his son who lives in Hertfordshire.
And Finally.... Ian Nolan has been released on a free by Bradford, the best part is he found this out by checking out Bradford's website
"Jim told me he was going to tell the chairman that I was one of the players he wanted to keep at the club.
You've got to feel for the guy.
